Committed to “full-time” service as District #1 Supervisor
Dear District #1 Residents, my Madera Ranchos Neighbors and all of the wonderful Citizens who are impacted by Board of Supervisors decisions:
During my 30 years as a Ranchos resident and participant in community activities and organizations, I have followed the actions of our County Supervisors. While I often hold different views than individual board members, I respect that each of them was elected to represent their constituents and cast votes that reflect views and actions that they believe are in the best interests of Madera County...for now, and for the future.
Ten years on the Planning Commission has been enlightening and, coupled with my professional careers (complete resume to follow) in Public Education (administrative & instructional) and real estate, it has allowed me to develop a broad perspective of Madera County’s history and the many challenges we face.
While national and world problems divert our attention, we must not ignore issues related to employment, education, agricultural and economic development, water and power, public safety, population growth and other key issues.
I am keenly aware that previous boards have made huge investments in creative development plans that have attracted significant private investments which, if handled properly and in conformity with the intent of the approvals previously rendered, could provide the underpinnings for sustained positive and economically beneficial progress.
If elected, I will treat the role of Supervisor for District #1 as a full-time endeavor, maintain extended contact not only with my constituents, but also engage in a countywide approach that is... “Focused on Moving Madera County Forward.”
I look forward to the coming campaign and the opportunity to learn your views on these goals and issues, and especially those in our very large district that I just might be missing. Please do not hesitate to call me day or night. It’s Tom at 706-3162.
Cordially Yours,
Tom Kellner
